The Tommy Sotomayor Question

I was watching a young man on YouTube this morning by the name of Tommy Sotomayor Podcast Live, and he spoke about a few situations regarding police and the people they swore to protect.  In the context of the show, the host, Tommy Sotomayor, asked, "When did the police become more important than the people they swore to protect?"   I found this to be a very profound question, because most have no idea what it is the police can and can not do, nor do we question the actions of those who say they are on our team.
