The Toy

Derek and Lori host a watch-a-long (and ruin) a movie they adored since childhood, but are now watching it with adult eyes! Now Playing - THE TOY (1982) starring Richard Pryor, Jackie Gleason, and Scott Schwartz. We remember watching this film as kids, and laughing our asses off because our parents had already introduced us to the comedy of genius of Richard Pryor. Little did we know, there were some serious PROBLEMATIC overtones with this film...and some racist muthafukas! We always wondered why they never played this movie on TV, and with adult eyes...now we fucking know! Another piece of cinema that studio executives must have been trying to keep buried. Now you can watch-a-long with Derek and Lori, who provide the WTF commentary. **** Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to the MIDNIGHT HUSTLE YouTube channel. I encourage you to leave your COMMENTS.
