The Traffic Report: The diamond blues

from The I-5 Corridor · host Tyson Alger

The beauty of baseball and softball is that, when you’re good, you get to enjoy it for quite a while. The Oregon baseball team played 58 regular-season games. The Oregon softball team played 64 games. The folly of those two sports is that one can be that good, for that many games, and still watch it end in the blink of an eye. For the Ducks baseball team, it was two-and-out at the Eugene Regional. For the softball team, which reached the Women’s College World Series for the first time in seven years, the Ducks lasted three games in Oklahoma before coming home. On this week’s Traffic Report, Tyson and Justin put the two programs’ seasons into context, marvel at the year Cal Raleigh is having for the Mariners and share a surprising change of opinion on one of Oregon’s most famous tourist traps.
