The Traitor Queen- Chapters 27-29

from Spoil Me · host Natasha Kingston

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! WELP, this is the episode where I pretty much decide that this is a bad book. Thankfully, Ashleigh and I seem to be on the same page with this assessment, and I don't feel as bad about it since she hadn't read it before commissioning it. I don't regret reading it at all, because it's full of interesting ideas with lots of potential, but this author only ever seems to expand on the most boring pieces of the puzzle, while the tasty tidbits are left by the wayside. And also, she low-key ruined Dannyl as a character completely over the course of this book, but this is when she has him basically sympathize with and root for the slavers, and I can't get past it. One more section to go, and I have no idea what is left now that the battle appears to be won, but at least we have to find out who the traitor magician in the guild is!Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you all again soon with a new episode!
