The Transatlantic Way - Kate Fowler rides the Wild Atlantic Way
from YarraBUG · host Val Nagle, Kate Fowler and Faith Hunter
Val and Faith are joined in the studio on a glorious winter morning by Kate Fowler. Val's dulcet tones share a reading from Joe Kita in The Wisdom of our Fathers before we all share our bike moments. We take a brief look at news including yesterday's Melburn Roobaix and the VicRoads Sydney Road survey finishing on July 14th. Make sure you have your say. (We love Option 3!) We also are very happy to announce that we have not only met our Radiothon target but exceeded it, and send out a massive thanks to everyone who has donated!Kate tells us about her experience riding The Transatlantic Way, 2500kms of Irelands stunning western coast, over ten days. Besides the scenery, the hunger and the lack of beer in her ride we also touch on the power of bicycle adventures to help with anxiety, depression or even just maintaining equilibrium. We finish up with a reminder about an upcoming event by Moreland Cycling & Co for teenagers.
