After the epic first trial of Magneto, where we covered all of Magneto's pre-history, this week we use the standard trial format and prosecute Magneto for all of his pre-Claremont appearances, in the 1960s and early 1970s! Back then, Magneto was out to protect mutants, but he did so by taking over countries, abusing subservients, creating races of mutants to serve him, and ranting and raving. Despite all of that, given his backstory, he remains incredibly sympathetic and compelling.Hear our esteemed jury have a wonderful and thought-provoking discussion on Magneto.
