The Trouble With Travel with David Diaz

Recorded live at the 2020 Plein Air Easton event, host Tim Weigand interviews plein air artist David Diaz.  They discuss David's adventures of painting in Buenos Aires as the pandemic began, shutting down international travel.   *As this episode was recorded live during the festival, the sound quality is affected by the sounds of the occupied gallery.   David Diaz works in oil and pastels and currently lives in Annapolis, Md. He received formal training in the public schools of Western Maryland and Frostburg State University; as well as University of Maryland, Towson and Catholic University.   He is award-winning artist and educator who has taught art in Maryland, in both Allegany and Anne Arundel County, and has worked with students from elementary through middle school, as well as adult education and private lessons. His work is in collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia. David is primarily a plein air painter with a focus on regional subjects and is a member, and Chair of Bd. of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters.
