The True Christian’s Faith and Experience #012 Chapter 08 Justification

from Ohio Yearly Meeting's Podcast · host Henry Jason

The process of justification follows God’s work of sanctification. In justification the true Christian is found  righteous or upright in the eyes of God. He is justified. He is pardoned/vindicated/exonerated. By the free gift of God the true Christian’s ego is no longer at work and his self righteousness is destroyed. His righteousness now exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes, Pharisees and hypocrites. No one can lay any charge against this elect whom God has justified. ReferencesThe True Christian’s Faith and Experience Briefly Declared.  The quote in our introduction is from John Wilhelm Rountree’s 1905 Essays and Addresses, page 361.  John Wilhelm Rountree was an early 20th century English Friend best known in Quaker circles for helping to establish the Woodbridge study center.  A complete list of our podcasts,  organized into topics, is available on our website. We will be publishing video interviews with Conservative Friends on YouTube.  See our YouTube channel.  The first interview is with Susan Smith. To learn more about Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative) of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), please visit  ohioyearlymeeting.org.
