The True Disciple // John 8:30-59

Earlier in John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” And the following verses are the record of a reaction to this truth. In the midst of dealing with this reaction, Jesus sets forth one of the fundamental marks of the true believer--he or she abides in His word.
