The Trumpet and the Convergence Prophetic Clarity for the Church in a Diverging Age. Part 2
from PortalsGate Broadcast · host Isaiah-Phillips Akintola
The Trumpet and divine Convergence:Prophetic Clarity for the Church in a Diverging AgePaul addresses the Corinthian church on the nature of sound in 1 Corinthians 14:8. A trumpet that produces an unclear note prepares no one for battle. Every sound carries a message, and every message carries a demand. The church that cannot interpret the trumpets sounding around it cannot respond accurately to what is actually unfolding before it.This principle extends beyond worship gatherings into the broader life of the believer. Every season produces its own sounds. A national policy shift, a sudden change in public sentiment, a movement that gains traction overnight, all function as trumpets. They carry signification. They demand a response. The believer who hears the sound but cannot interpret it will respond to the noise rather than to the message inside the noise.Discernment exists precisely for this purpose. The prophetic ministry is not a separate department of spiritual life reserved for unusual occasions. It functions as the interpretive lens through which the believer reads ordinary events and receives the meaning God intends, rather than the meaning the moment appears to carry on the surface. Without that lens, events that look negative, contradictory, or threatening get processed entirely within their natural appearance, and the believer responds from that appearance rather than from revelation.
