The Truth about Divorce

from NHCC Sermons & Teaching

We recognize that there are things today that are more commonplace today than in the time that the Scriptures were written. However, it would be wrong for us to assume that just because society has changed that God's Word has adapted to allow for sin.----------Today, half of all marriages performed in the United States will end in divorce; and the statistics for second and third marriages plummet significantly. It leads to broken families and blended families that become more the norm than the exception.---------While we would be right to remember that divorce is not an unpardonable sin, it is important to remember that it is indeed classified in God's Word as a sin and something that He hates to see. With divorce becoming so much more prevalent in our world, it is important for Christians to know God's teaching and the significance of grace in all circumstances.----------Frank takes on this difficult situation by getting into the Bible (Mark 10:1-12) and allowing its authority to be the standard of morality and behavior. We hope that as you join us and hear the Word of God taught, that His Spirit would guide you into an understanding that helps you to grow in wisdom and in truth.
