The Truth about Gossip

Gossip. We’ve all experienced it; we can all agree that it’s unkind. But do we really understand the ramifications of gossip? Gossiping is saying what you don’t need to say, whether or not it’s true. It is always harmful and never helpful. It is unloving. And the most important truth about gossip is this: gossip is sin. Yet, we justify gossip for many reasons. Maybe we call it “seeking counsel” or “asking for prayer”.
