The Truth About Ozempic

from Stretch4Life · host Lori Walter LMT

Today we finish up our talk on digestion with a conversation on a new drug that has been released to help with weight loss. Ozempic has taken the country by storm. America has a bad obesity issue and pharmaceutical companies found a “wonder solution” to this. Ozempic is a generic name for Semaglutide. Semaglutide is an antidiabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and an anti-obesity medication used for long-term weight management.Ozempic does help in lowering weight. It does this by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone. As those hormone levels rise, the molecules go to your brain, telling it you're full. The issue is Ozempic also makes you lose your muscle weight and can have some serious side effects. We don’t have the data to understand the long-term effects of Ozempic or other similar drugs. It is not known if Ozempic is safe for children under the age of 18. The issue is thousands of scripts are being written for Wegovy and Ozempic for children between the ages of 12 to 17 and it may be doing serious harm to their long-term development. Be an advocate for yourself and your family!! It is ok to say no to a doctor! Ask questions and do your own research. The whole reason we started our podcast was to share the knowledge we have to help you be more educated to be able to questions your doctors decisions. If you have any questions you’d like to ask Lori, please ask it in our contact form here: https://stretch4life.com/contact-us/ Check out our recommended products: #adhttps://stretch4life.com/products/Check out Lori’s courses here:https://stretch4life.com/courses/
