The Truth About Soulmates, Relationship Expectations & Disappointments & How Life Should Have Turn Out

from Raw Conversations with Corinne Blum · host Corinne Blum

We’re told that life should have a certain trajectory. That we should get all of our ducks in a row and then we’ll live “happily ever after.” But life never came with a manual, nor is it a one size fits all. If we never entered life believing that there was a way we should do it, maybe we wouldn’t have the same judgments, expectations and therefore disappointments that we have. We misinterpret what relationships are about. What soulmates are. And what our life was/is meant to look like. Sometimes there is grief in not having the vision of what we had hoped for. But life always has something to garner wisdom from. Though there may be growing pains in the process, there is always growth to be had. In this episode I talk on the themes of soul mates, my marriage and divorce, and how where we find ourselves is most certainly not where we’d expected to be and yet, has anyone’s plan played out to true form? I rather doubt it. So know that you’re not alone. You haven’t gone wrong. You’re just human, having all sorts of experiences. Some wonderful. Some painful. All human, no less.
