The Truth Behind Intrusive Thoughts: Brittney's Journey to the Real Diagnosis and Reclaiming Her Life
from Lyme and Beyond with Tanya · host Tanya Hoebel
In today's episode, I'm joined by Brittney as she opens up in what may be the most raw, real, and emotional conversation I've ever been a part of. Brittney shares her journey as a mother whose life was changed dramatically after the birth of her second child. What began as anxiety and leg pain quickly escalated into severe intrusive thoughts that eventually led her to admitting herself into a psychiatric facility, desperate for answers. She eventually learned of her true diagnosis: PANS, Lyme & co-infections. Her healing journey started at Sanoviv in Mexico, an inpatient medical facility that addressed every layer of her illness, including physical treatment, nutrition and mental health care. Through intensive therapies including hyperthermia, FMT, and Plasmapheresis she began reclaiming her life. This episode is a powerful testimony of resilience, faith and the importance of proper diagnosis. It is a reminder that when symptoms are dismissed or misunderstood, the story is not over. There is hope, there are answers, and healing is possible.
