The Turkey Escape

The Turkey Escape is a short story about eight-year-old Billy 'Biscuit' Baker, who dreams of eating his fill of turkey — a wish that stays out of reach despite his best efforts. When Biscuit secretly hides an oversized egg from his ailing mother's henhouse, he and his best friend Timothy 'Tadpole' Taylor watch in delight as it hatches into a turkey chick they name Turkey Trot.
