The Turning Point | Romans
from Sunday Extended Hosted by Compassion Church Dickson
What happens when God gets hold of a person’s heart? Everything changes. In this week’s message, Pastor Jamie and Pastor Tommy unpack Romans 10:6-13 and reminds us that salvation isn’t about zeal, works, or religious effort, it’s about faith in Jesus Christ alone. We dive into what it truly means to be born again: to go from cold to compassionate, bound to free, and to live a Spirit-driven life that bears real fruit. This episode also wrestles with the brokenness in our world, the tragedies, violence, and unrest we’ve seen in recent weeks, and points us back to the heart of the issue: humanity doesn’t need more rules, it needs redemption. In this episode, you’ll hear about: Why zeal and good works can’t save you, only Jesus can. How God transforms a heart and gives us a new identity. Why evil originates within, and why only Jesus can heal it. God’s relentless pursuit of the lost, because every soul matters. The role of the church as God’s plan for hope and unity in the world.
