The UN Security Council has condemned North Korea latest missile launch

from General Podcast · host Channel Africa

The UN Security Council has condemned the latest ballistic missile launches conducted by the DPRK on Monday in violation of several resolutions. After an emergency meeting of the Council at the behest of the United States, Japan and South Korea, the Council issued a tersely worded statement deploring the rouge state's activities noting that they contribute to the DPRK's development of nuclear weapons delivery systems and increase tensions in the region. The Council agreed to closely monitor the situation and take further significant measures in line with their previously expressed intentions. Sherwin Bryce-Pease reports.
