Marisa Rueda Will started her career as a medical interpreter in 2006 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Luther College with a degree in Spanish. She has been a full-time healthcare interpreter at a major medical institution for the last 15 years. She became national certified through CCHI in 2012. She became a Licensed Interpreter Trainer through Cross Cultural Communications in 2017. Marisa provides 40-hour training for in-house staff and converted in-person trainings to online formats during the pandemic. She took an advanced course in translation through Guacha Translations in 2020 and in 2021, she started her own company called Tica Interpreter Training and Translations.Marisa joins the Brand the Interpreter Community to share her story and love for the profession.
