On June 29, 1985 on the afternoon at 356 N Spruce someone had gagged Linda Shawn Casey, bound her hands behind her back. Then assaulted & brutally stabbed her. Shawn had just returned from work & was making dinner for her boyfriend when she was attacked. She had neighbor’s downstairs who had beat on the ceiling due to water leaking into their apartment & friends stop by for concert tickets however no one came to Shawn’s aide. It wasn’t until her boyfriend discovered her battered body that authorities were finally called hours later.
