The UNSOLVED Texarkana Moonlight Massacre
from True Crime Stories HQ Hosted by True Crime Stories HQ
In the spring of 1946, the Texarkana area was terrorised by a mysterious attacker who targeted couples at night. Wearing a strange mask and disappearing into the darkness, the killer became known as the “Phantom Killer.” Over roughly ten weeks, eight people were attacked and five were killed. The crimes sparked widespread fear across the Texas–Arkansas border, as police, Texas Rangers, and investigators searched for answers. A major suspect was investigated, but no one was ever convicted of the murders, and the Phantom Killer’s identity remains officially unknown. This episode explores the disturbing attacks, the investigation, the suspects, and the enduring mystery surrounding one of America's most notorious unsolved murder cases.
