The Unspoken Underdogs Are The Solution at HBCUs — Ep32.

Joining I Love My HBCU? Podcast this week from Miles College is Lamont Morehead. A nontraditional student who shares his story of hardship, second chances and the not so hidden, but not often amplified value of smaller HBCUs. Lamont’s journey to Miles College wasn’t straightforward, with stops at Delaware State University and Fisk University, all after initially putting college on hold. Not everyone needs a college degree but when you become a business owner addressing food insecurities at college campuses the call to go to college is one that would be hard not to answer. So why Miles College? The small private HBCU in Alabama which “has as its brand civic engagement and activism?” Tune in to find out why Lamont Morehead professes that it’s the unspoken underdogs that are the solution to sustaining small HBCUs. Lamont’s episode is streaming on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. *All opinions expressed by guests do not reflect the views of all entities of "I Love My HBCU?"
