The Unwinnable Corporate Trap
from NeuroNarratives · host Sho Oshita
The author, who has a developmental disorder, chose to hold multiple employment contracts to diversify risk following repeated misfortunes with early job terminations. However, due to a series of unfortunate coincidences—including the supervisor's prolonged absence, faulty equipment, and being forced to work without adequate handover—their contract was ended after just a few months at a new workplace. Although buffeted by unreasonable time-management rules, initial delays in learning the role and complaints from colleagues ultimately triggered the termination. Despite having to navigate poor interdepartmental coordination and unexpected disruptions, the author had actually reached a point where they could perform the work rapidly. Viewing these irrational troubles and repeated misfortunes not as a reflection of their own capabilities, but as a coincidental alignment of bad timing, the author remains firmly determined to look forward and continue striving toward their goals.
