The Update Journal- September 4th

In today's edition of The Update Journal, The weather changes all the time, but it seems like the people who don't realize this are the weather people on TV. News people aren't no better. I wish we could get over things the way news anchors switch stories. One minute it's "doom and gloom", the next minute: "Sunshine and 72!" Make up your mind... oh, wait five minutes. I want to got old with my partner, but apparently, we have to survive the bedroom first. There's always that statistic that 50% of marriages end in divorce, and 75% of those people say it's because the bedroom got stale. I don't think that's fair. You can't spend years building a life together, then act shocked when "Netflix and early bedtime" beats "let's do something wild." Keep it fun. Keep it interesting. Communicate. Surprise them. And for the love of everything, don't introduce anything new in the dark without a warning. Because if they ask, "What are you doing?" you don't want to answer "Nothing." That's how bad nights start. And apparently, I'm the only thing left on my partner's schedule. In this transition period with my parents, apparently, I'm the only thing left on my partner's schedule. There are fewer people competing for my attention, and apparently, watching NCIS time is outdoor recreation time. Why walk? We have cars. But we're walking now. During NCIS. Outside. Not because it's exercise. Because "it's good for us."
