On The Update this Wednesday, Governor Kathy Hochul is calling the state legislature into a special session in hopes of extending an eviction moratorium and adding protections for tenants and property owners who fell behind on their rent or their mortgage because of hardships caused by the pandemic. Authorities say a New Jersey woman with the Instagram handle AntiVaxMomma sold several hundred fake COVID-19 vaccination cards at $200 a poo to New York City-area jab dodgers, including people working in hospitals and nursing homes. And the remnants of Hurricane Ida are forecast to dump rain from the central Appalachians into New England, with up to 8 inches possible in spots from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. But Kate's still out in the Atlantic, and Tropical Storm Larry forming off Africa.
