The 'Us'

“When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it.” (Mark 16:11) They refused to trust the news of Christ having been resurrected. Okay, the idea of a resurrected person is incredible. Such things don’t fit into our everyday life experiences. Three days dead and no one standing over Him praying, He gets up, walks through stone, and plays in His revitalized garden. Where Eve gave off talking to the voice of God in the Garden, Jesus, the voice of God, was now talking to Mary in His new garden, the redeemed universe. Mary reported that Jesus had been chatting with her. Today, we who trust Christ boldly report that we are constantly in contact with His Spirit. Many refuse to trust. There is no rule that you have to distrust God’s love for you. I accept the report that You, Lord Jesus, are not only alive but are tabernacling in me. You and I have become a new ‘Us.’
