The Valley of Fear Chapter 11 - The Valley of Fear

In which McMurdo, recently branded as a member of a secretive and powerful lodge, receives a cautionary warning from a troubled brother about the dark and violent nature of their society, and soon finds himself arrested on suspicion of involvement in a brutal assault. Despite the menacing atmosphere and the thin evidence against them, McMurdo and his fellows are ultimately acquitted, leaving the shadow of threat and retribution lingering in the air.
