One of partnering together to have an impact, to help people achieve the goals that are most important to them, and that comes along with a lot of deep discovery, understanding people and what’s important to them. There are common themes: People are very focused on their family, their health, having a life that helps them to achieve their purpose and to live out that purpose, and having the financial resources to make the first 3 things happen. I strive to meet people where they’re at, and try understand their perspective, try to be open and curious and committed to learning always. I’m always working to be a better listener to understand where people are coming from. It’s a continuous learning journey and not a place I’ve arrived yet. When you do listen deeply, when you do have compassion for others, and you have flexibility in your belief system that allows you to anchor to what’s most important but to be open to new perspectives, that serves people well, it’s certainly served me well.
