Jim Carrey portrays a lonely man, stuck in a dead end job, who finds solace by collecting gadgets like X-Ray Specs and other toys he searches for promoted in the back of classic comics. But what happens when he learns that he can control the seemingly harmless technology to become a destructive weapon?! Controversial figure Alex Jones also stars as a mysterious individual hell bent on revealing Jim Carrey's true identity. From the surreal imagination of director Michel Gondry comes "THE VARIANT".
