The Veteran Is (series): VALUABLE

Though the mind of a veteran is unquantifiable in power, as well as unbelievably valuable in retrospect, the civilian disregards this commodity as worthless, as some form of nonconforming insubordination. The veteran is still serving.. We’re serving the same community that believes us to be sheep, simply because we cared to protect this bigot-filled, biased country against ALL others. Our service is not valued, and our veteran status not respected; we are underestimated and therefore unemployed simply because we answered to & trained under a different authority. Our perpetual loyalty does not factor in when dismissing a veteran’s application for opportunity.
