The Vikings Commit to Jordan Addison’s Future

The Minnesota Vikings have officially decided to retain wide receiver Jordan Addison through the 2027 season by triggering his fifth-year contract option. While Addison has proven to be a highly productive offensive asset alongside star Justin Jefferson, his tenure has been complicated by several off-field legal issues and disciplinary actions. Despite his impressive statistics, including leading his draft class in touchdown receptions, his history of traffic violations and arrests has made future long-term negotiations more complex for the front office. Interim general manager Rob Brzezinski emphasized Addison's role as an impact player even as the team navigates these concerns regarding his professional conduct. This extension ensures the young playmaker will earn a significant salary increase during the final year of his current deal.
