The Virtues and Mission of God's Church

Change unsettles a church, but its deepest calling does not shift. The Thessalonians put faith, love, and hope into action while suffering, because the Holy Spirit brought the gospel home to their hearts and gave them joy. Their changed lives and spoken witness carried the news of Jesus through surrounding regions. God's church does not rest on size or human resources.
