The Voice of EMS: Summer Patterson and Perspective

Summer Patterson got into the field at almost the exact time that our host Charles McFall did and he locks in on the shared experiences. One of the biggest messages that came from talking with Summer was that of perspective. She wants to make a way for others and to do that she challenges them to have a plan. Only after you have a plan can you then weigh your options for career advancement expertly. Too many times in the field do we simply look at the (many times tiny) financial gain that we will get by jumping to another employer. When we fail to consider what possible unknowns come with that change we are doing ourselves and our career a disservice. "I was very inspired and energized by talking with Summer.
