Daniel Reeves, a sound editor, discovers an old cassette tape containing a recording of his own voice — but it delivers warnings about events that haven't happened yet. As the predictions come true, the voice begins reacting to Daniel's choices, suggesting the recording is not from the past, but from a future version of himself trying to guide him. Despite following some instructions, Daniel makes critical mistakes, causing the messages to become more urgent and fragmented. The most disturbing moment comes when he hears his own voice outside his apartment door, urging him to open it — while the tape simultaneously warns him not to.
