The generosity continues with smartwatches from brands like Samsung and Garmin. These third-party wearables are getting a major upgrade in how they handle notifications and Live Activities. You will soon be able to track your food delivery or sports scores right from a non-Apple watch with the same depth and responsiveness previously reserved for the Apple Watch. There is a catch, though: Apple is enforcing a one-device-at-a-time rule for notifications. If you want your alerts on a third-party watch, your Apple Watch will have to take a backseat.
