Built in 1916 by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad, the building provided railroad crews with a place to stay between assignments. With more than 60 dormitory rooms, a restaurant, theater, library, and bowling alley, it became a home away from home for generations of railroad workers. Today, the Brewster-Sugar Creek Historical Society preserves the Wandle House as a museum dedicated to that rich railroad history.But history isn't the only thing visitors remember.
