James 1:2-3 (NIV) - 2  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  3  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Ephesians 6:10-12 (NLT) - 10  A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  11  Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.  12  For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:13 (NLT) - 13  Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Ephesians 6:14 (NLT) -  14  Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.  15  For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.  16  In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.  17  Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 1. Belt of Truth 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NLT) - Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Ephesians 6:14 (NLT) - 14  Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 2. Breastplate of Righteousness Romans 12:9 (NIV) - Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Ephesians 6:14-15 (NLT) - 14  Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.  15  For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 3. Shoes of the Gospel of Peace Romans 5:8 (NIV) - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Ephesians 6:16 (NLT) - 16  In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 4. Shield of Faith Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) - Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Ephesians 6:17 (NLT) - 17  Put on salvation as your helmet, 5. Helmet of Salvation Romans 8:31-39 (NIV) - 31  What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  32  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  33  Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.  34  Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.  35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  36  As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long;     we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  38  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  39  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 6:17 (NLT) - 17  Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 6. Sword of the Spirit Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) - For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double- edged sword,
