The Washington Huskies Hire Steve Belichick | Washington Football 2024

Former New England Patriots secondary and safeties coach, and son of legendary head coach Bill Belichick, Steve Belichick has been hired by Washington as defensive coordinator. Belichick has never coached in the college football ranks before, but he has a decade of experience on the New England Patriots staff. His defenses ranked in the top half of the NFL in all but his final year as the Defacto defensive coordinator of the Patriots from 2019-2023. I think this was a great hire by Jedd Fisch, as he can now focus on the offense while Belichick can take total command of his craft. The Huskies lose most of their starting roster, but return two defensive starters in linebacker Alphonzo Tuputala and cornerback Kamren Fabiculanan.
