A previous boyfriend who made a purchase at the only strychnine outlet in Dallas the summer she died. A possible ghost behind a second dinner plate who has never come forward. And then there's the wax museum that burned to the ground eleven months after Patsy died. The one wax figure that survived. The drifter with three Social Security numbers and a red laundry basket full of hidden news clippings about the case. And the private investigator who followed that thread for years — until the man at the center of it died on an Oak Lawn street corner before anyone could ask him what he knew.
