The Way into the Holiest of All (Hebrews 9:1-10)

The elaborate liturgy of the Old Covenant presented the faithful with two major object lessons: 1) YHWH lived with them and was to be the center of their lives, 2) None could approach Him upon pain of death. The way into the holy places was shut. The law provided no sacrifice for intentional sin and only temporary covering for sins of ignorance. But when Christ appeared, He established the New Covenant and opened the way into the holiest of all.
