The Way of Jesus—Matthew 7:15–23

Jesus warns us not to be distracted by what looks impressive, but instead to look for what is true, good, and real by examining the “fruit” a person’s life produces. Rather than pursuing success, influence, or the appearance of being a good Christian, God’s agenda is to transform us so that we increasingly become like Jesus and bear good fruit through loving and serving others. The good news is that we don’t produce this fruit through our own effort, it grows through trusting Jesus, surrendering our lives to him, and allowing his sacrificial love to transform us.
