The Way of the Lamb: Kingdom of Tolerance

Date: August 2, 2020  Passage: Rev 2:18-29   The call to not compromise our walk with God at the enhancement of our own personal gain   Theme Verse: “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death” Rev 12:11  Summary: A call to the church to persevere and live uncompromising lives against the pressure to conform to the kingdoms of their day—overcoming said kingdoms by the power of the Lamb.   Purpose: In our world we face a lot of competing “kingdoms” for our allegiance. How do we know whether we are compromising? How do we navigate a landscape that is so hostile to those who follow after Jesus?  How do we persevere and bring flourishing in this world?
