Why wander?Pillar of Cloud/Fire - God’s guidance.Joseph’s bones - Faith in God’s promises.Pharaoh’s pursuit - terror in Israel.Moses: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm… The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”God’s command: Stand Firm. Devotion (Ex 14:31)Israel feared the Lord, trusted Him.Devotion Fix eyes in faith and worship.2 Cor. 4:18 - Fix eyes on unseen, eternal.Heb. 11:1, 27 - Faith = conviction of unseen; Moses endured as seeing the Invisible.We are not wishing on a star - not blind faith.Consecration + Invitation = encounter with God who bought us with a price, divided death, brought us to life.Identity is not devotion to our love for God, but God’s love for us.Quote – F.B.
