The Way to Boost Wellbeing for Women in the Workplace

from Nine To Thrive HR · host HCI Podcasts

During a time of low engagement and high stress at work, Google’s Learning and Development team got some survey results that prompted serious change, especially for their female workers. The results showed a striking difference in wellbeing between female and male employees, with that of females being so low that it caused great concern for Google’s leaders. They immediately began to make things better for women and found certain initiatives, investments, and change to be the starting point for better wellbeing among women and also, better retention, innovation and belonging for Google’s female workers. This podcast reveals insight into what Google’s Head of Strategic Initiatives at the Google School for Leaders, Sarah Devereaux, did to boost wellbeing at work, along with so much more for the women of the organization.
