God designed humans for community from the very beginning, declaring in Genesis that it is not good for man to be alone. While life's disappointments may tempt us toward isolation, this goes against our fundamental design. Jesus himself chose to surround himself with disciples, demonstrating that even he valued community. The early church thrived because believers devoted themselves to fellowship, shared meals, prayer, and mutual support. We need others to speak truth into our lives, hold us accountable, share our joys, fight for us in difficult seasons, and extend grace when we fail. True community requires investment before we need it, and God uses authentic relationships to draw people to himself and help us become who we were created to be.
