Scripture Reading: Joshua 13-24 The word “inheritance” is found over 40 times over these last chapters that we read this past week in Joshua Israel didn’t purchase or win this land, it was given to the Israelite nation as an inheritance – but it isn’t owned by them… and this is a controversial topic even to this day… fighting over the land inheritance. The land grant was given by God to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and then to nation of Israel, but it’s theirs by way of INHERITANCE. The word “inherited” means by definition “(of money, property, or a title) received as an heirat the death of the previous holder.” Israel’s inheritance is by LEASE only!!!
