Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 1-3 Ecclesiastes 4-6 Ecclesiastes 7-9 Ecclesiastes 10-12 1Kings 10-11; 2Chronicles 9 INTRO to Ecclesiastes Written by King Solomon - The wisest man who ever lived, other than Jesus of course – and he’s on a search for the meaning of life. However, the book of Ecclesiastes reveals to us that wisdom without God is folly… it’s foolishness. 1Corinthians 3:18-20 “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” God gave Solomon the gift of wisdom… but unless we stay rooted in a life with God/for God… the gifts that we’ve been given will be used by the enemy…. If our identity does not remain rooted IN God, any gifting or talents we have are being propelled by the flesh or sin nature.
