The Weeping Prophet

In this Daily Hope, Pastor John S. Dickerson opens the book of Lamentations, written by Jeremiah—the “weeping prophet.” After warning God’s people to turn back to Him, Jeremiah grieves as he witnesses the devastation that sin brings. In Lamentations 2:11 he cries, “I have cried until the tears no longer come. My heart is broken.” This book is a sobering reminder that sin always leads to suffering—but through Jesus, the Lord our Righteousness, we can turn from destruction and walk a new path of healing and hope.
