The Whispering Library

Minstead Trust is turning spooky this autumn, as its headquarters are used as the backdrop for a haunted house story written by some of the people they support. The Whispering Library is a ghost story for audio commissioned by ArtfulScribe in partnership with Minstead Trust for Play on Words 2026. Writer and facilitator Sue Edser led three sessions writing with a group at Minstead Trust - New Forest Day Opportunities to write a story inspired by the manor and grounds at Minstead Lodge. The Whispering Library was written by Beau, John, Lisa, Liam and Richard, supported by Elizabeth from Minstead Trust Day Opportunities. The ghost writer and narrator is Sue Edser. The cast of performers are Beau, John, Lisa, Richard, Liam, Richard, Silas, Elizabeth and Antosh. The piece was recorded at Minstead Lodge by Antosh Wojcik, who also sound designed and composed music for the story. A production by ArtfulScribe.
