The Wieambilla Ambush: Madness and Conspiracy in the Outback

On December 12, 2022, four Australian police officers were ambushed during a routine missing persons investigation at a remote property in Wieambilla, Queensland. The attackers—Gareth, Nathaniel, and Stacey Train—were former educators radicalized by extreme religious delusions and conspiracy theories, leading them to murder two young officers and a neighbor. Following a prolonged standoff, specialist tactical units utilized armored vehicles and snipers to eventually kill all three perpetrators.
